New Found Glory Reach Out To Fans For Support

Hey Everyone!
So some sad news for any NFG fans out there. Earlier this week, lead vocalist Jordan Pundik took to message boards and news sites with the news that his mother is desperately in need of a heart transplant. According to the bulletins, on November 27th she was rushed to emergency with an unknown infection which has targeted her heart. She is now left with only 10% of her heart functioning on its own. She is an American citizen without health insurance, leaving the life saving surgery with a hefty price tag. As a result, the band has set up a donation site claiming every dollar helps. The foundation as well as a message from Jordan can be found online HERE if you would like to donate or read more.

"Hi friends. My mom has come down with an unknown virus that is attacking her heart and she needs a transplant. She is without medical insurance. I am asking for any sort of support possible. My siblings and I have set up a foundation in her name. For more info and donations go to helpmendaheart.com, anything can help. Please retweet or pass this on by email, facebook/myspace etc. Thanks everyone.

Love and respect,
Jordan"

I'm not a fan of NFG, but this is well beyond that. We're all human and we all deal with the unexpected twists and turns in this journey we call life. Sometimes things happen and we have to be there to support each other. I'm not saying that everyone has to go donate, but I'm saying that I respect the difficulty of the situation for Jordan and the band, as well as their family. I'm saying that at very least, some words of kindness through a myspace post would help them know there are people supporting them. I wish them all the best under these hard circumstances.

  1. I wish them the best of luck, but the cost of everything is well over $750,000US. I'm hoping however, that everything works out for the best in their situation. It's not an easy one to deal with, that's for sure.

  2. Yeah I'm not thinking its too likely that they will make the money they need but its an awful situation that no one could have seen coming so I hope that something works out for them or they make enough to help them cover the rest. Its just really sad. Thanks for the comment!
