Who Got Green Day Tickets?

Hey Everyone!

As I mentioned earlier, Green Day announced a tour with AFI as their headliners and many of the dates went on sale this weekend. I know I have my prized possession, ONE FLOOR TICKET ready to be picked up on August 18th, how about you guys? Anyone else going to the Toronto show? I'll be there doing everything in my power to get on that stage at some point. Last tour they chose a few fans each show to come up and sing Longview... man, I could SO do that. So watch for me to get up there because it is certainly high on my priority list haha I can think of nothing better than singing on stage with my favorite band... AMAZING. I will definitely be brushing up on my Longview karaoke skills...

Green Day and AFI Announce Summer Tour Dates

Hey Everyone!

So Green Day have finally come forward with the first confirmed dates for their summer arena tour and the run is shaping up to look like a good one. Better yet? The boys will be taking fellow California rockers A.F.I out to support them. Definitely looking like a show I (personally) cant miss. Both bands started out around the same time and have a fair bit of history together so it could be cool to see that brought back to the stage. They've both also produced some amazing albums over the past decade so there is guaranteed to be a great mix of fan classics and radio favorites. Tickets for the Toronto show as well as a number of US shows will go on sale via Ticket Master THIS Saturday at 1pm eastern time. Prices range from $25-$89 (rest assured the cost is WORTH IT). Green Day Record Hit Single "21 Guns" With Musical Cast

Hey Everyone!
So Green Day announced late last month that they would be recording their single 21 Guns with the cast of the successful American Idiot Musical. A lot of people are criticizing the band, saying its far from punk rock roots... but is that true? I mean, sure. Its not exactly underground, rugged and raw the way punk once was. But at the same time, its back to Kurt Cobain's definition... "Punk is musical freedom. Its saying, doing and playing what you want". They don't care that critics and fans alike are going to point fingers and say "you're not punk", they're still doing it. And you know what? The results are pretty interesting. Plus, if you've already gone the route of making your album into a musical, why not try something like this? Take a listen here, what do you think?

New Green Day Live Video: Last Night On Earth

A love song off their last release 21st Century Breakdown called "Last Night On Earth"... its a little different than their other stuff and admittedly not my favorite, but its still a good song and I like it. I like that they arent afraid to break down those genre barriers and will write/play whatever they feel like. Live videos by these guys are always good. Enjoy!

New Green Day Music Video Hits The Internet!

Hello Blogosphere!

So I have to run to class... well, now actually! But I thought before I did so, I'd just share this with you because its pretty exciting for a massive Green Day fan like myself. Their new music video for 21st Century Breakdown is now online and available for download on Itunes. I know its not as great as their classics, but at the same time its a fantastic album and song. Give it a listen if you haven't done so already. I think this album is underrated thanks in part to American Idiot (which was again, good but maybe a bit over played?).
