All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth Covers "Jumper" With Third Eye Blind

Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to share a video with you all today. Its kind of cool... shows how rock can interact even with generation gaps pushing two bands apart. While on the Bamboozle Road Show, Third Eye Blind had All Time Low vocalist, Alex Gaskarth, come out and perform Jumper with them. Classic song- makes for a great karaoke track for those of you keeping score of such suggestions at home. Anyways, the band and Alex did a great job performing the track together. Really brought a sense of community to the act, which I love. None of that pretentious "I've been doing this longer than you" stuff that sometimes happens. Sad, but true. So check out the video below, see what you think! I love it. Alex's voice is a great fit. Have to say- ATL is really starting to grow on me. Take that however you want, I'm not ashamed of my love for pop-punk boys haha.

What do you think? Not too shabby, eh? *yes, I AM CANADIAN*

Teenage Crowd Maced During All Time Low Performance At Six Flags

Hey Everyone!
What is this world coming to? I mean, MACE at an All Time Low concert? This isnt The Beatles, and it certainly isnt Elvis. I dont get it. Maybe, MAYBE, mace should be used in extreme cases of what I call, Bieber-itis.... aka excessive fandom of the sixteen year old youtube sensation from my neck of the woods... but even then, its harsh.

Apparently the All Time Low performance tonight at Six Flags got a little out of hand, and police decided to take some action. The show was part of this years Bamboozle road show, featuring LMFAO, Boys Like Girls, Forever The Sickest Kids, and Good Charlotte among others.

Personally, until I see proof that this was out of control, I'm going to say this is probably just another example of security being out of touch. Fans these days get rowdy, they like to have fun. I know I've started some shit at shows I've been to over the years. Moshing and circle pits are all part of the package now, even with lighter, poppier bands like ATL. Its all about generating memories... about that split second where you get to the front of that crowd, when the guitarist points you out in awe of your achievement, the way that drumstick feels as it hits the palm of your hand. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. We were all 13 once, we all pulled stunts that in retospect may not have been well thought out, but the point is- They are memorable. Am I wrong?

What do you think? Did the cops take it too far? Were they right to handle it with Mace?
Let me know, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Something Corporate To Release New Music!

Hey Everyone!
For the first time in about 6 years, Something Corporate have announced plans to release a cd. The double disk will be called "Played In Space: The Best Of Something Corporate". It will contain the best tracks from the bands collection as well as a second disk containing a new song called, "Wait", a recorded version of fan favorite "Konstantine", another beautiful unrecorded track "Watch The Sky", and some new mixes of old tracks. Personally, as a long time fan of all these tracks, I'm super excited to see this come out. It feels like a better way for the boys to say goodbye, unlike the super sudden hiatus of 2004 that took a lot of people by surprise. I mean, it sucks to not be able to say goodbye to a band that you love, right? The CD is set to be released in April, could a tour ensue? Only time will tell! This announcement comes shortly after their reunion performance at California's Bamboozle Left Festival.

Are you psyched for new Something Corporate??? I AM! BRING IT ON!

Bamboozle Expect Boom In Ticket Sales With Upcoming Announcement

Hey Everyone!
So rumor has it that the New York Times will be announcing some new acts scheduled to join the already astonishing lineup of the 2010 New Jersey Bamboozle Festival. The three day concert spectacular, already slated to host acts like Paramore and Weezer, is now said to be bringing rising stars Ke$ha and Drake into the mix. With a mega star lineup that crosses over a variety of genres, who can blame them for expecting a rapid growth in ticket sales?

What do you think of this announcement? If its true, would you be more inclined to go?
Could be interesting

Bamboozle Festival Lineup Starts To Form

Hey Everyone!

*FIRST OFF... HAPPY 100 POSTS TO ME! haha*

The band lineup for Bamboozle Fest 2010 has started to form over the past couple days. After the games and puzzles, some real names have actually come to light. The two day festival, and opening night Hoodwinked are shaping up to be pretty sweet, a lot of diversity in the rock genre. Take a look below and see what you think. Maybe worth a trip down to New Jersey? So far, I think so. And if you happen to have an extra seat in your car, please... TAKE ME WITH YOU haha.

MAY 1st
Headliner: Paramore
+ Linc's Special Guest
+ MORE TBA

MAY 2nd
Headliner: Weezer

Song of the Day: Pool Party by The Aquabats... great summer/driving song. Which makes me think of festivals because that usually involves long drives, and long days of moshing in the summer heat. All you want to do after a long day of festival concert going is dive in a pool. So this song is pretty fitting on a number of levels I think. Enjoy!

Something Corporate To Reunite For Bamboozle 2010

Hey Everyone!
Man, it is times like this that make me wish I was living in California! Something Corporate announced that they will be performing at the Bamboozle Left Festival in 2010. The Festival will take place in Anaheim, CA on March 28th. Something Corporate has been on hiatus since 2006. Since then, frontman Andrew McMahon has led a successful career with solo side project Jack's Mannequin. There has been talk of a touring reunion for some time now, but no solid plans until this announcement. Who knows, maybe this means we could be looking at a reunion tour if all goes well? I certainly hope so! These guys put on a great show when I saw them back in 2005 :)

"It's been ten years since Something Corporate put out its first demos, and for the first time since 2005, you can see the band perform live!  Something Corporate will be a part of the 2010 Bamboozle Left festival in Anaheim, CA on March 28th.  For ticket information, click here."

No, they're going to make you work for it. Here is a copy of their post... these 33 hints SOMEHOW relate back to the first 33 bands confirmed to play. See if you can figure out any of the names...

Bamboozle Festival Understands Economic Pressures

Hey Everyone!
Alright, this is kind of exciting news for me personally because I have ALWAYS wanted to go down to New Jersey on the first weekend of May for this... the Bamboozle Festival. Three days of music, camping and good times had by all. Its a weekend long party, who wouldnt want to take part in that? However, ticket prices for the three day pass have always been fairly high... about $75 a day. I'm on a student budget... the tickets combined with travel costs and accommodations are just too much. In response to the recent economic difficulties, Bamboozle is having a one day only sale... $99 for a three day pass! There is a small catch to note... the lineup has not yet been announced. However, I cant say I'm overly distraught by this. Over the years, the lineups have included something for every rock fan. Everyone from Panic At The Disco to 50 Cent have played on the Bamboozle stages. For a full list of past lineups, click HERE

So if you're into three long days and nights of rocking out in NJ with thousands of like minded people, then this is for you! If you're interested in the three day festival at an all time affordable cost, check online this friday, starting at exactly 12:01am to purchase your pass! If you'd rather wait it out and get an idea of the lineup, it is expected that the first round of bands will be announced in December, around the same time that Warped Tour will begin their annual announcements. So hold on, because it wont be much longer!

Festival Dates: Friday April 30th-Sunday May 2nd 2010
Location: East Rutherford, New Jersey
