Rockers Tie The Knot

Hey Everyone!
Seems like love is always in the air for indie rockers, be it in their songs or their real lives. Congratulations are in order for two members of that community! Stacy Dupree of Eisley and Darren King of Mutemath got married! The adorable couple flaunted their union via this twitter post. Cute, arent they? What a good looking couple. Best of luck to them!

2010 Alternative Press Tour Lineup Revealed

Hey Everyone!
Its that time of the year again! The 2010 AltPress Tour is making its way through the US and selected Canadian cities. If you're into those hardcore 'famous but not big enough to play stadiums just yet' kind of bands, then this lineup may interest you!

Joining this year's tour will be Bring Me The Horizon, August Burns Red, Emarosa, The Polar Bear Club and This Is Hell. My personal recommendation? Go check out BMTH. Those boys know how to put on one hell of an amazing show filled with audience involvement, lots of moshing, and wicked tunes. I love their shows, I bet you will too if you give them a chance!

What do you think of the 2010 lineup?

Good Charlotte Sign To New Label

Hey Everyone!
Man, this one takes me right back to my High School years! Yes, I admit. As a teenager, this band was a big part of my life haha. I had all the albums, I had the tshirts, and meeting Joel Madden was the highlight of my first Warped Tour experience. Those days are well behind me now, but every now and then, I still bust out the old GC albums and reflect on the 'good old days'. Anyways, back to the story!

Pop punk playboys, Good Charlotte are back with a new album and a new label to help them out! The boys have officially signed to Capitol Records, and will be releasing a new album by the name of Cardiology in October of this year. I honestly didnt even know they were still making music, but sure why not. I may not be their biggest fan anymore, but theres a 13year old out there somewhere I'm sure, who is getting the same fulfillment from their music as I once did, so kudos to them!

Trace Cyrus Being Sued By Ex-Bandmates

Hey Everyone!
I kind of figured this might happen, it was only a matter of time as far as I'm concerned haha. Apparently the rest of the band is finally admitting that they too, were tried of Cyrus' diva attitude!

Metro Station are suing the former "frontman" for announcing his departure/the bands breakup without their consent. On top of that, they are not impressed by the way he proceeded to bash their music via Twitter. Maybe he should have thought that out... he did in fact take a lot of credit for the "weak shit" they performed! What are you saying, Trace? You write bad music? We all knew that, but thanks anyways :) Basically the lawsuit comes down to Trace being named president of the band brand but the others not too sure they stand by that early decision based on the 'leader's' actions. Fair enough, he wasnt as hot headed when they started! I'd say they were led to believe he wouldnt let his ego get the best of him haha. Wow, this whole blog is bashing the guy isnt it? Sorry- I just really dont understand what happened to him and this is how I cope haha.

What do you think? Should he apologize and give back CONTROL? Pun... I'm funny ahaha

Black Cards Vocalist REVEALED

Hey Everyone!
Finally! After weeks of guessing games and song clips, the face behind the voice has officially been revealed! Pete Wentz is finally ready for the world to meet... Bebe Rexha.
Most of you are probably going "uhhh....who?" and I'm right there with you! Apparently, she is a young woman in her 20s from Staten Isle with no formal music business experience. But, Wentz heard her voice and it was a done deal! Lucky girl, most people would love this chance, even if it means working with the bassist (lets be honest, he has a pretty solid foot in the door in this industry, he can move your career like no one's business!). I have to admit, I'm a fan of his choice. Her voice is impeccable. Smooth, raw and full of soul. Good call, Wentz (man, never thought I'd say that!)

What do you think of Bebe? She's got the voice, and she's stunning. Lets see how it works out!

William Beckett To Star In Edgar Allan Poe Film Adaptation

Hey Everyone!
Weird I know, but apparently true! Academy Is frontman, William Beckett, is reportedly set to star in a film adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's classic The Fall Of The House Of Usher.

Now, I'm sure many of you are reading this going "wtf... acting?" but if you know the band well, then you'll know Beckett is an artsy guy in many ways. He even dabbled in modelling (but I mean come on, with that bone structure, WHY THE HECK NOT? right? haha). In any case, he is also a literature nerd, so this only seems to perfect for him. An artsy, indie film, based on a classic piece of literature... spot on.

The film will begin filming in December. Beckett will play the lead role of the narrator, so definitely look forward to that!

What do you think of this new project for Beckett? I say, Break a Leg!

Max Bemis Reopens 'Song Shop'

Hey Everyone!
Something cool to talk about today! Not sure how many of you are familiar with it, so here we go. Max Bemis (frontman of pop punk band Say Anything) has reopened his Song Shop. What is that, you ask? Allow me to give you some background....

Many of you may be aware that Max suffers from Bipolar Depression, something that is very well documented in many of his songs if you know what to listen for. In any case, Max believes that music can help the healing process, so as a means to reach out, he started this thing called the Song Shop. Basically, fans can go to the online store, write a brief essay about something they feel passionately about, something that affects them. In return, Max will write a song about it and send it your way. Pretty cool eh? A musician writing a song about your own personal demons? I love this idea!

So if this seems like something you might want to invest in, hurry over to the website now and make your request. The first 1500 will also get a short phone call from Max himself. May only be 5mins, but if you're a good interviewer, thats all you'll need to get some cool info or advice from an awesome musician!

What do you think of the Song Shop? Corporate or Compassionate? Share your thoughts!
