Las Vegas natives, The Killers, have had a fairly short, but prosperous career in the span of the last decade. But reports are now confirming that they have become the latest inducties in the "indefinite hiatus club". Following bands like the Hush Sound and Fall Out Boy, the band have decided to take some much needed time off without the looming constraints of a return to the studio. The hiatus will take place following their scheduled performances of Asia and Australia. The announcement was acknowledged by the groups guitarist, Dave Keuning, who told associated press:
"I'm not sure if people are aware of it but these are probably our last shows for a while. We havent had a break in quite a while. Its just been touring and making records and on and on and on. Its been like six years just kind of connected together. Its like people just expect us to do that non-stop til we die, but we just want a little bit of time off, just to be myself and do what I want to do for a little bit"
In all honesty, they do probably deserve a break. Touring can be draining and its been quite a non-stop process filled with hit singles and sold out arenas for these guys. Best of luck, enjoy your break boys, and we'll see you when you get back- nice and refreshed with some killer new material!
